Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions' Manufacturing Subsidiary in India to
Deliver 10,000 Cash Recycling ATMs

Tokyo, November 29, 2019 --- Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions, Corp. (“Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions”) today announced that the number of cash recycling ATMs delivered by Hitachi Terminal Solutions India Private Limited ("Hitachi Terminal Solutions India"), an ATM-manufacturing subsidiary of Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions in India, has reached 10,000 units.
Cash recycling ATMs of Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions have been introduced at many financial institutions in India, including national and major private banks, maintaining the largest share with 18,000 machines in operation.


India has a population of 1.3 billion people, the second largest in the world. Currently, about 240,000 ATMs are in operation in India, where the ATM market is one of the largest in Asia. In addition, the Reserve Bank of India, India's central bank, has been advancing Financial Inclusion(*1) , and investments by Indian financial institutions in equipment and services have been expanding. Under such circumstances, further future growth of the Indian ATM market is expected.
Hitachi Terminal Solutions India is located in Bengaluru and manufactures cash recycling ATMs, meeting the demand for ATMs in India. Through its manufacturing activities, it has been contributing to the “Make in India” policy advanced by the Indian government, which includes job creation and economic development measures.

Hitachi-Omron Terminal Solutions globally develops high-performance, highly reliable cash recycling ATMs based on the most advanced sensing and mechatronics technologies. It fully entered in the Indian market in 2010 by launching cash recycling ATMs, and 2014, it started cash recycling operation through a major state owned bank ATMs for the first time in this market.
